EXCELLENTVerified Family trip to Austria. We had a fantastic day with Gabi as our guide. The timing of everything was perfectly coordinated. The highlight of the day was the falconry show at Werfen castle. Then on to a fabulous lunch at the Eidelweiss hotel in Berchtesgarden. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for views at Eagles Nest but we still really enjoyed seeing it, and stopping by the site of Hitlers home.Verified Wonderful famiy trip to Hallstatt We had a wonderful time on our day trip to Hallstatt! Patrick out driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. He even pre booked a great lunch place at the Edelweiss Hotel in Berchtesgaden. He also threw in a couple of Sound of Music sites as he knew we were fans and movie fans. His knowledge of the history of Salzburg and the surrounding areas provided us with all the information we needed. The Tour of The Castle of Werfen was dome with ease and at the right pace and again Patrick provided all the information, and more, that we asked of him. Knowledgeable, flexible, and works very hard to ensure your tour is what you want it to be. We had been to Halstatt previously, so she modified our tour to St GIlgen. St. Wolfgang and Berchtesgarden with the documentation center. She shares interesting history, Sound of Music sites. Austrian traditions, and even pictures to share of before and after at some of the WWII sites. The large Mercedes van is very comfortable and air conditioned, which we were grateful for during the unusually warm weather. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Tour picks up and drops off at your hotel. Left at 10 back at 6, so it's a full and wonderful day!! Patrick took us to many interesting locations to see the natural beauty and historical sights along the way. He was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of Austria. I highly recommend taking the time to see the sights between Salzburg and Vienna.Verified Hallstatt Hallstatt itself is beautiful, we were her before it we took the bus and train ourselves this time for a different experience. Then we took the ferry over to Hallstatt. As it was off peak season the ice cave wasn’t open so we decided to visit the salt mine instead. This mine is over 7000 years old. However it was 43 euros and this included the funicular up and down. The mine itself to be honest was just ok, the highlight was sliding down the miners slides. Krakow salt mine was by far the best salt mine I’ve been to. The viewpoint above Hallstatt was fab. There were a few shops open for souvenirs and cafes for coffee.Verified Beautiful tour We had the most magical day with Patrick and Mansfred. They truly love their country and love showing it off to visitors. We learned so much and covered a lot of ground. This is well worth the money. Don't do a big bus tour--the attention to detail they provide and personalization is the way to go! They even had the perfect lunch table waiting for us in Hallsstat.Verified Salzburg area sights Our day with Patrick exploring the lakes and hills near Salzburg was by far the highlight of our family trip to Austria. Patrick was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fun to be with. He worked hard to plan a highly customized experience for us, and even incorporated a last-minute sledding excursion en route so we could experience fun in the snow! He took us to Hallstadt and ensured we were able to enjoy the town and an amazing lunch in a cafe on the water while he handled the difficult parking logistics, etc. Being driven to lesser known sights in his car made it all really comfortable and special.
