EXCELLENT Based on 165 reviews Posted on Stuart SVerified Excellent tours with a great guide, a must-do if you’re visiting Salzburg. We had two days with Patrick and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were treated to a great cross section of the big attractions in the area along with a taste of the less taken paths for some genuine local flavour - it was all super interesting and there wasn’t a wasted minute. Patrick is a wonderful guide who was not only full of information but also has a great sense of humour. He was also able to adapt to keep things interesting for three generations in the car which is never easy. Overall an excellent experience and a memorable few days!Posted on Judith PVerified Eagle’s Nest tour was incredible 2 couples from America. This tour exceeded all our expectations. Every single detail was planned and executed perfectly. Patrick, our guide, was personable, knowledgeable and engaged. His energy and enthusiasm to share history with us made our trip even more memorable. Can’t recommend this tour and Patrick enough!Posted on susan pVerified A perfect day in Austria ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Day in Austria – Thank You, Manfred! Our private tour with Salzburg Private Tours was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything was seamless and perfectly planned. Manfred was an incredible guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Austria and Bavaria. What made the day so special was how Manfred carefully curated our entire itinerary based on our interests. He really took the time to understand what we liked and customized the experience perfectly — from scenic viewpoints and charming villages to hidden local spots we would have never found on our own.We visited highlights like Hitler’s home and the Eagle’s Nest, but what we’ll remember most are the personal touches and stories Manfred shared along the way. The car was spotless and comfortable, and we never felt rushed — just relaxed and able to truly enjoy every moment. If you’re visiting Salzburg and want to explore the best of Austria and Bavaria at your own pace, don’t hesitate to book a private tour with Manfred. It was the highlight of our trip!Posted on Kim and John ConnellyVerified Lena was wonderful! Tina gave us a tour that was very informative and relaxing! She knew the history of each stop and had the perspective of a local to add as well! She was an absolute joy to be with all day! (and she was an excellent driver!) The next time we are in Salzburg, Lena will be the only person we call for a tour!Posted on Anthony VVerified Why take a train from Salzburg to Munich? Why waste a travel day going from Salzburg to Munich by taking a train? My wife and I instead made the trip with MCM Tours, and the drive was one of the highlights of our vacation. My wife and I were originally hesitant to visit the Eagle's Nest given its construction and association with the Nazis, but our guide and driver overcame our reticence and handled the difficult history with grace. Walking down the long tunnel to take the elevator up to the top of the mountain was a truly singular experience, and, needless to say, the views of the Alps at the top were incredible. Afterward, the guide and driver took us to a lunch place with views of charming German chalets nestled into the sides of the Alps. So not only did we travel to our next hotel, my wife and I got to experience the Austrian and German countryside up close, learn more about its history and culture, and meet two wonderful people who live in the area along the way. What better way to go from one city to the next when there is so much to see and experience along the way?Posted on Anthony VVerified Make the most of your travel from Vienna to Salzburg Why waste a travel day going from Vienna to Salzburg by taking a train? My wife and I instead made the trip with MCM Tours, and the drive was one of the highlights of our vacation. My sisters and I can't say enough good things about Patrick's all-day Sound of Music and Hallstatt tour. Patrick is a wealth of cultural, historical and entertaining information about Austria in general, Salzburg and Hallstatt in particular - and of course the filming of The Sound of Music. On top of all that, he is kind, funny and thoughtful - anticipating and accommodating our needs and desires and making helpful recommendations and suggestions along the way. We got to see the beautiful Austrian countryside and mountain ranges as we drove from Salzburg to Hallstatt and as Patrick answered our many questions and pointed out the sites of most interest, all in the comfort of a luxury vehicle. Because we were not on a big bus tour (no thank you!!), we were able to drive to the more intimate sections of various towns that cannot or will not permit the big buses. The tour was the most memorable part of an amazing two-week trip in Austria. It was worth every penny and we can't recommend it enough!!Posted on shanadjamoVerified Highly recommend this tour! We had a wonderful day with Manfred. He showed us all of the sights we wanted to see while sharing g so much knowledge. It was very fun and educational!Posted on SabrinaVerified Unexpected perfection When Patrick, our guide, got out of a brand new Audi & greeted us, my 1st thought was "how is this 20 something year old Austrian kid going to inform this 61 year old man and his wife about things we've studied for years." Never judge a book by its cover because our day with him was absolutely perfect. Patrick is a brilliant young man who guided us on one of the best tours we've ever been on. He even went beyond expectations and took us to Sound of Music locations our Panoramic Tour failed to do the day before. His English is flawless and it's a day I'll never forget.Posted on Katherine SVerified Great day trip to Hallstatt Manfred was an amazing guide! He amended our drive to help make the most of a rainy weather day, and was a true fountain of information for Salzburg and Hallstatt, as well as other places worldwide. Professional, fun and informative. A great day exploring Hallstat while enjoying a scenic drive that had many Sound of Music highlights thanks to Manfred’s knowledge.
